Working as an Insulation Installer

Working as an installer means that you are a key part of the engine of each team. Along with three or four others, you will help to create a comfortable and more sustainable environment all year-round in the homes of each of our clients.

What do you need to get started as an Installer?

To be a great fit for the Installer role, you will need the following:

  • A ‘safety first’ approach to how you do your work and how you look out for others in the team.

  • A strong work ethic, meaning that you like to get to work on time and work hard to support your team as it delivers quality outcomes for our clients.

  • An ability and willingness to learn new skills and apply them within the workplace– with proper supervision to ensure that you are safe while you get the hang of them.

  • Ideally some prior experience in the building industry – but if you don’t have this right now, we can fill in most gaps with specific on the job training.

  • A current White Card, asbestos awareness card, a current manual drivers license and your own transport to get to and from our depot for work. You will also need to apply for a WWVP card and pass a police check.

We are looking for school leavers or individuals of all ages who have the right attitude, are safety minded and reliable who want to join our fast-growing team.

Our Custom Built Training Centre
Alexander Watson offers training for all apprenticeships and new team members. Our special built training centre to give our trainees full hands on experience and skills before they are sent to our client’s home with EEC certified training delivered by our in house Cert IV trainers.

Certified Insulation Installers stand out as those who understand the benefits of insulation and can safely and effectively install insulation to deliver healthy, comfortable homes and workplaces.

  • Do you hold a Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card)?
